On 6 November 2019 Norway declared initial operational capability (IOC) for its fleet of 15 F-35As out of a planned fifty two F-35As. Sheridan, Arthur E.; Burnes, Robert (13 August 2019). Finnish Air Force - F-35A Block four selected by way of the HX Fighter Program to substitute the current F/A-18 Hornets.
